The Australian Weeds Committee extends an invitation to all organizations and members of the public to comment on the consultation draft of the Australian Weeds Strategy.It has been eight years since the launch of the inaugural National Weeds Strategy, and the Committee is reviewing the goals, objectives and strategies with a view to publishing a nationally agreed revision in the new year, which is now known as the Australian Weeds Strategy.
The draft strategy and web based response form are available at the website below. The closing date for public comment is 17th July, 2006.
The draft strategy’s mission is to Provide guidance for national leadership so all Australian’s can work together against the serious impact of weeds. The fight against weeds requires commitment from all levels of government, industry and the community, and your contribution will assist in ensuring the revised strategy provides a long-term, strategic basis for our collaborative effort.
