National Plan to Protect Environmental Assets from Lantana

Submission response form

The Draft National Plan to Protect Environmental Assets from Lantana aims to establish a national framework to guide and coordinate Australia’s response to lantana invasion in native ecosystems by identifying the research, management and other actions needed to ensure the long-term survival of native species and ecological communities affected by the invasion of lantana. The plan is also designed to enable the allocation of management funds to areas of greatest need; and through the implementation of a triage process, ensure investment at sites where weed management alone is likely to result in the protection of species at risk and support environmental resilience.

We are seeking public comment on the draft document to ensure it addresses its stated aims and is supported by the broader community. We welcome both positive and negative feedback.
